That is a question only yourself can answer. Ben and I took Henry away when he was only four months old.. TO SOUTH BEACH. Call us crazy, but we figured out what worked for us. The following items were essential and I highly recommend them.
1. Stroller - bring what you are use to! We LOVE our uppababy vista and take it everywhere
2. Pack and play if you’re local {Miami is only 45 minutes away from us} or request a crib
3. Sound machine — bring whatever sound machine your baby is used to at home
4. Medicine, thermometer, creams, soaps, and lotion {don’t try anything new while being away-stick to the norm
5. Bottles and formulas—baby needs to eat!
6. Some type of swaddle or baby carrier — this makes it a lot easier when going to the beach or somewhere where a stroller doesn’t work
7. Clothes and extra diapers — I always packed extra clothes, you never know!
8. Small toys — soft books, rattle {keep baby “entertained”}
**Optionals**
1. Pacifier {Henry nor William uses one}
2. Breastfeeding essentials {Henry nor William were breastfeed}
3. Stroller cover {depending on age, you don’t want your baby out in the open or if they are sleeping you can keep them cover}
I am sure you all of us moms have more or little to travel with. This list doesn’t include what I hope you have in your diaper bag. Just to name a few - diaper changing station, hand sanitizer, burp clothes, blankets, etc.
Good luck on your next adventure!
